Chelsea Clinton & Marc Mezvinsky to wed this weekend in Rhinebeck NY

I wasn’t invited to the Clinton/Mezvinsky wedding even though it’s up the road from my parents house in Rhinebeck, NY….  We will be down to spend time with my parents that day though.

The Weekly Re-cap: I showed you what I had for a 3AM snack and spoke about Mental Feng Shui.  We celebrated Miss Isabella’s 3rd Birthday!!  I told you about a study going on to track how many fireflies are still out there.  Michael & I attended the 5th Annual smAlbany Small Business Day and I shared a recipe for Chocolate Zucchini Bread.

The Weekly Beverage: Raspberry Vodka & Sprite (made by Kristi Gustafson during her guest bartender event at Dale Miller to benefit Equinox, Inc. – They raised over $1,000!!

The Weekly Food: Pizza, Sliders Sweet Sausage and Leftovers!  (Real healthy huh?)

The Weekly Amazing Fact: According to Musicouch.com Time Warner Corporation bought the rights to the Happy Birthday song in 1998. So now a single use in a film or TV program will cost around $10,000!

The Weekly Activity: We went to Dale Miller for the Equinox, Inc. benefit where Kristi Gustafson & Steve Barnes were guest bartenders.  (They raised over $1000!)  Our friend Trish and her son came to visit for a day of BBQ and hanging out in the pool.  We attended the Lia Car Show, as well as the smAlbany Small Business Day as VIP bloggers.  We rode out to The Factory in Ballston Spa with No Destination, and we test rode a BMW K1300 GT at Max BMW Motorcycles.  We had a VERY busy week!!

The Weeklies ~ Week 28

The Weekly Read: The Everything Blogging Book and Shift Your Habit.

The Weekly Music: EdXeno sang/rapped Vanilla Ice’s -  Ice Ice Baby during karaoke at Elda’s on Lark and it was awesome!

The Weekly Movie: We went to a pre-screened of the movie Cyrus.  It had it’s funny moments for sure, but I think they could have done more with the story to make it more interesting or humorous.  Not awesome but not bad either.
We also watched The Spy Next Door.  I always like Jackie Chan movies

The Weekly Downer: A baby bunny falling into the pool and ending up in the skimmer

The Weekly Good Karma: Michael rescuing the bunny out of the skimmer and us getting to spend and hour or two with ‘Lucky’ before we released him back into the wild.  Click the link – you know you want to!  The bunny was so cute!

The Weekly OMG: I swam in my pool for the first time this week!!  This is the 4th summer I’ve owned my pool!

The Roses at the martini station were beautiful and the martini was really really good!

The Weekly Food: The food at the Hilton Garden Inn Albany Airport’s Grand Re-opening event was incredible!  The dessert room was a wonderful touch

The Weeklies ~ Week 18

The Weekly Movie: The Lovely Bones I read the book a while back and thought it was okay.  I didn’t love the movie.  It was kind of creepy like the book.  Though I did like Mark Wahlberg in it….

The Weekly Beverage: I drank a coconut creme Dunkin’ Donuts coffee on the way to The Albany TweetUp and it was yummy.  This is a big deal because I rarely drink coffee.

The Weeklies – Week 8

Ever feel like the rugs been pulled out from under you?

The Weekly BIG Thing on Facebook: Save John Boyd Thacher Park – Many state parks are being closed in New York state.  Governor Patterson has published a statement listing which parks and historic sites will be closed, etc.  Some will close, some will discontinue fireworks displays, some are closing pools and lakes, some will have reduced hours, there will be some shortened golf seasons and programs will be shut down.  It’s so sad to see them cut budgets like this while other useless programs continue.  I’m still mad about the gallons per mile bill that the senate wasted their time on a few weeks back….

How do you decide what to blog about?

I don’t present myself as a professional blogger.  I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not.  How do the pro’s decide what to write about?  I figured when I started this blog I’d write about random things that go on in my life or things that interest me.  Lately though I don’t feel super interesting.

Over the weekend I finally started that recipe page I spoke of on Friday.  Right now I have 117 members in less than 72 hours so that must mean that people are interested in it correct?  I just wish more people were posting recipes.  Other than Michael and I only 5 others have posted recipes.  I’ll give it some time though.  Weekends are busy for some people.  Other’s need to decide what to post.  I want people to post recipes that they’ve tried and think are good.  I posted the recipe for the lasagna I made this weekend.

I’ve been watching movies over the weekend so I’ll mention them on my “Weeklies” blog which will be posted on Friday.

I have neglected my love of reading lately.  I haven’t read anything since I read The Lost Symbol around Thanksgiving.  If you haven’t already, check out my list on Goodreads.com.  I’m thinking about reading The Lovely Bones so I can have it read before the movie comes out in the theater.

I hope you notice that I usually have links sprinkled throughout my blog.  I might need to search for a different font because I think sometimes it’s tough to tell there are links on the main reading page….

In other news my good friend Kim is starting fundraising for the National MS Walk. Please give what you can.  Last year her team La Dorkas got donations from all 50 states and multiple countries.  They’ve set their goal at $25,000 and I don’t doubt they’ll reach it.  Donate whatever you can.  Every dollar gets them closer to finding a cure.  And be warned, you’re going to hear about the La Dorkas team quite a bit throughout the year, so be prepared.  These women are incredible.  Hopefully I can find an awesome job so I’ll have the cash-flow to donate as much as I want to and hopefully go there to be with them on the walk   I don’t know how Kim does it.  She’s got MS and she walked the entire 50 miles last year.  I’m perfectly healthy and I doubt I’d be able to walk 50 miles in 3 days….

So back to the original question:  How do you decide what to blog about?
