The Weekly Re-cap: We talked about the weather, Michael & I going out for a motorcycle ride, we wished Michael a Happy Birthday, mourned great TV shows that are no longer with us, said goodbye to a 25-year-old blogger named Eva Markvoort who passed away, and learned about my naughty little puppy Isabella.
The Weekly Read: The Finishing Touch – Details That Make a Room Beautiful
The Weekly Music: Private Eyes by Hall & Oates because my friend Rude Cactus used it for his blog title yesterday.
The Weekly Movie: The Lovely Bones I read the book a while back and thought it was okay. I didn’t love the movie. It was kind of creepy like the book. Though I did like Mark Wahlberg in it….
The Weekly Beverage: I drank a coconut creme Dunkin’ Donuts coffee on the way to The Albany TweetUp and it was yummy. This is a big deal because I rarely drink coffee.
The Weekly Amazing Fact: According to OMGFacts: Giraffes can’t yawn.
Pretty much all warm-blooded and cold-blooded animals yawn. Birds, fish, mammals, and of course, people. An average human will yawn 250,000 times in one lifetime, and animals have been photographed yawning all the time. However, neither giraffes nor whales have ever been caught yawning.
The Weekly Birthdays: Lee Wooden, Sung Choo, Theresa Setzer, Jerry Bertram, Todd Harrison, Michael Henry, Jeff Beach, Aimee Giese, Brigette Moore, Cameo Crounse, Nancy Lee Grahn, Cami Rutherford Bajek, Lynn Kinnear, Paul Chenkus, Robyn Dousharm, Jim Milliken, Humberto Martinez, and Sheri Monaco. Happy Birthday to all of you! I hope you all had awesome birthdays!! Leave me a comment to let me know what you did to celebrate your big day. 🙂
The Weekly Activity: Michael & I went to the April Albany TweetUp.
The Weekly new people I’ve found on Twitter: Melissa Ward, WordPress.com, Bettie’s Cakes, Kimmy Tavarez, Two of a Kind, Jaci Sabolsky, and Grant Johnston.
The Weekly Charity I’m Pimping: The National MS Walk in Long Island is on May 2nd. My friend Kim will be walking and she’s pretty close to her goal. Anyone who can help with a donation would be appreciated. Click HERE for the link.
Weekly Grand Totals: My blog has had over 6,500 views. To some of you that might be nothing, but considering I only started it at the beginning of the year I think it’s pretty decent. Thank you to all my readers. Keep commenting and encouraging your friends to subscribe. 🙂
The Weekly Hypothetical: If you were going on a trip, what would you most likely forget to pack?
Please comment and subscribe.
I would most likely forget to bring my cell phone charger!
Yes, that’s what you usually forget. That will probably be one of the first things I pack because I have a spare one now….
I would probably forget PJs. I don’t wear clothes when I sleep so its not something I think about. But when I go away I like to bring them.
Have a good weekend, Rose! I hope the weather gets better for you.
I usually forget PJ’s and hairspray. Hopefully I won’t forget anything important!!
The weather is supposed to be really nice this weekend!!
Thanks, Rose! I chose to hang at home and enjoy a big old seafood/steak dinner. It was yummy!
I will drink or eat anything with coconut. It’s my favorite. 🙂
Monday TLC has a news series called “Best Food Ever!” The pilot episode is all about sandwiches. It looks like it’s going to be a new favorite of mine.
Thanks again!
❤
Sometimes having a nice dinner at home is the best. Michael and I have kind of adopted that tradition for the most part.
Coconut is yummy! Gotta love it!!
I’m going to have to try to remember to set the DVR for “Best Food Ever!” it sounds good!!
Happy Birthday!!
XOXO
Thanks Rose! Pizza, cupcakes, and a new reward chart for my little boys. I realized my last day of being 29 was spent yelling at my kids (and making me me feel like an old haggard witch). So my first day of being 30, a reward chart! Day one, smooth sailing!
That’s awesome Robyn! You’re such a good Mom! Good way to put life into perspective!! Hopefully they’ll do well with their new chart!!
Happy Birthday!!
Aww, that is so sweet! Thank you!!
You’re welcome! Birthdays are important to take note of. Plus you looked so darn cute in your tiara!! I want one on my next birthday!
I saw you comment somewhere that you’re going to the Duchess County Fair- I went every year growing up!!!! (My grandparents, the Wigstens, live in Pleasant Valley and are on the Board of the fair) 🙂
LiLu I’ve gone every year since I was born except for 2003 when my best friend decided to get married fair weekend and I lived in Pittsburgh so I couldn’t go during the week. I grew up in Rhinebeck so it was just a couple miles away. It must be fun being on the board 🙂
OMG! I want that Coconut Creme coffee drink!! Happy Belated Birthday Michael and Miss Isabella…stay out of the fortune cookies. LOL!
Do you have Dunkin’ Donuts near you? I think all they do is put coconut syrup in it. Thank you from Michael and as far as Miss Isabella – hopefully she’ll listen and be better behaved!!
