The Weekly Read: No One Cares What You Had for Lunch – 100 Ideas for Your Blog by: Margaret Mason
I thought this book was great for ideas.  Check out my review on my Goodreads page.

The Weekly Music: Keith Urban – Only You Can Love Me This Way
Keith was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week and played the song.  I thought it was lovely.

The Weekly Movies: Jury Duty – One of my favorite old Pauly Shore movies.  I love his little sidekick dog named Peanut.  I also like Sean Whalen who plays Carl Wayne Bishop in the movie.  He’s got such a creepy look to him….

I also watched Enchanted staring Amy Adams & Patrick Dempsey.  I thought it was a really cute movie.  Though I felt bad for the poor little chipmunk Pip who kept trying to warn Giselle throughout the movie.

The Weekly Time Waster: Michael & I went to the Times Union Job Fair.  They have it a few times though-out the year at a local hotel.  We’re disappointed with it every-time we go, yet we continue to go each time they have it.  Out of about 80 companies that were represented I gave out 1 resume.  You find companies that say “Here’s our web address, go there to apply” (Why do they pay the astronomical $$ to rent the booth to say this) or companies looking for very specialized positions such as Doctors and RN’s.  Then there are the financial services companies that want you to sell investment products and insurance.  We avoid those like the plague.  There was a bank that’s always been there in the past I wanted to introduce Michael to, but of course they weren’t there.  I gave my one resume to a bank in case you were wondering.  (When I gave it to him, he told me to go online and apply)

The Weekly Downer: Watching people I call friends behave like children because they weren’t happy with election results.  No politician is perfect.  We’re adults.  We can agree to disagree without it turning into a blow out.

The Weekly Special Mention: Goes out to my newish friend Ellie – Kudos to you for being able to discuss a hot button political issue like an adult.  Not sure I agree with you, but we can agree to disagree.  🙂  I am trying to learn more about the details of the issue we discussed.

The Weekly Worst Piece of Crap on TV: The Bachelor – What a bunch of needy pathetic women.

The Weekly Tea: The Whistling Kettle’s Strawberry Pepper tea

The Weekly Food: Chicken, Bacon, Roasted Red Pepper Crepe from The Whistling Kettle in Ballston Spa, NY

The Weekly Amazing Fact: New York City has 722 miles of subway track.

The Weekly Birthdays: Mark Rogers, Meghan Sharp, Dan Boyd, Melissa Lane & Ryan McCann

The Weekly No-Shit Moment: Holy Schnike’s Trader Joe’s Wasabi Mayo is HOT!!! Though I might have to try their Wasabi Sliders Recipe….

The Weekly Concert: Joshua Radin & Cavo at The Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square – NYC
What a great time!!!  I’m going to tell you more about our trip next week, so stay tuned 😉

The Weekly Activity: Coming up with blog ideas.  It’s not nearly as easy as I thought it would be….

The Weekly Shoes: For half of the week it was my slippers.  Is it weird that I really like slippers that have leather bottoms?  I like them because I tend to trip on carpets with rubber soled ones….
For our trip to NYC I wore my high heeled black boots which usually aren’t a problem.  I don’t think the boots were the problem, but I think my Extra thick Thorlo running socks were.  I got a blister.  Boo!!

The Weekly new people I’ve found on Twitter: Joshua Radin Greeblemonkey and Barbara Walters

The Weekly Charity I’m pimping: My friend Maureen is running a marathon for The Arthritis Foundation.  You can donate to Mo HERE

Weekly Grand Totals:
Number of Trivia Games I won:
3
Number of NYC Blocks Hiked: Felt like thousands, realistically it was about 50 or 60
Number of Pandora items purchased: 2
Average gratuity that was added to our food bills: 19%
Number of cool new people we met in NYC: 2
Number of Jets fans we saw: 100’s
Number of chocolate stores we went to in NYC: 3
Number of batteries Michael went through in his Blackberry Storm on our NYC Trip: 2
Amount of battery I used in my HTC Touch Pro 2 on our NYC Trip: 60%

The Weekly Hypothetical: If you could meet your favorite musician of all time (alive or dead) what would you say to them?  (Also tell me who it is)

The Weekly Not-So-Hypothetical: Did you subscribe to this blog yet?  If not, why not?  What are you waiting for?  The box is in the upper right 😉

Isabella was very happy when we came home 🙂

The Weekly Read: I have read TONS of websites about my new phone.  I still haven’t found the apps that I really want though.  I got an app for Facebook and Twitter, but I don’t really like either of them, so I’m hoping I can find a different app for each.  I’m also searching for a good one for eBay.  So if any of you have the Verizon HTC Touch Pro2

The Weekly Music: While searching for apps I also found a whole pile of ringtones….  The one I settled on for my main ringtone is the Beverly Hills Cop Theme

The Weekly Movie: I went to see NINE and I blogged about it.

The Weekly Time Waster: Nintendo DS Game – Personal Math Trainer

The Weekly Downer: The weather!  Will we get above 30 degrees fahrenheit this week?

The Weekly Worst Piece of Crap on TV: The Bachelor – Why do women agree to go on shows like this?  They usually come out looking like bitches or whores.  I watched about 5 minutes.  Some had pretty dresses.  As soon as I heard one that said “I’ve never even kissed a man other than my ex-husband” I knew I had enough.  Come on, you’ve only been with one man and now you’re going on national television to find a spouse?  Seriously?

The Weekly Schadenfreude: Someone I know left a mutual friend a comment in a public place today.  She basically said if he wanted to see her topless all he had to do was ask.  Why do people use public forums to advertise the fact that they have absolutely no class?  If I ever wondered (which I really didn’t) she erased all doubt….

The Weekly Beverage: LIPTON Sweetened Lemon Iced Tea – the kind made with the powder mix.  I hadn’t bought a tub of it in years.  I forgot how yummy it was 🙂

The Weekly Tea: I ordered some teas from a company called Adagio Teas I mixed their Chocolate Tea with their Raspberry Tea.  It wasn’t a bad combination, but most likely won’t go down in history as one of my favorites.  I bought 6 kinds of tea from them, so I have 4 more to sample over the coming weeks.

The Weekly Food: We went to Boston Market tonight.  After all these years it’s still one of my favorite fast food joints to frequent….

The Weekly Amazing Fact: If you are an average American, in your whole life, you will spend an average of 6 months waiting at red lights.

The Weekly Birthday: 2 of my best friends have birthdays this week.  Kelly’s is the 8th and Eva’s is the 9th.  I love them both TONS!!  Happy Birthday ladies 🙂

The Weekly Activity: This week it was blogging.  Being out of work it’s nice to have a “responsibility” that I try to be consistent with on a daily basis, though I doubt we’ll really blog on the weekends….

The Weekly Shoes: My new boots that Michael got me for Christmas.  Do you know how difficult it is to find a pair of leather boots (none of that synthetic stuff) with a rubber sole or at least some traction on the bottom?  For under $75.  The answer?  Pretty much impossible.  We went all over the place.  I finally caved in and got a “man made upper” but it’s got a rubber sole.  They probably won’t hold up, but at least they were reasonably priced….

Weekly Grand Totals:
Number of days I didn’t leave the house: 4
Number of people who had headaches: 2
(and we think Bella had a sympathy headache along with us)

The Weekly Hypothetical: If you could star in a movie that’s already out there in the theaters or on DVD, which one would you choose?

Good evening all!

I’ve been trying to come up with blogging topics to keep all of you interested.  Tell me what you’d find interesting and amusing to read about.   I’m sure you’ll see blogs mentioning Miss Isabella our puppy.  A friend suggested blogging about bad parenting because he knows I have some very strong feelings on the subject.  I read something today that talked about the word FEAR so I plan to do something regarding the word and the way people view fear differently.  I’m sure some list blogs will be thrown in as well.

Make sure you subscribe though the link on the top right of the page.

Moving on:

I updated my picture up top.  It’s a picture that Michael took on Route 23 in the Catskills.  I’m sure I’ll occasionally change it but I wanted to make sure I gave him credit for it.

What were you doing this morning at 6AM?  I was giving a shout out on Twitter to my friend Andrew Badera.  You see usually when he goes online it’s my cue to go to bed because lately I’ve been a major night owl.  (Or vampire if you ask my friend Rich)   What was I doing you might ask?  Last night I was searching for ringtones for my new phone.  I got a Verizon HTC Touch Pro2 and so far I really like it.  I’ve had one problem so far.  For some reason it’s bumping out everyone’s birthday by 1 day.  I called my friend Jessica at Verizon on Central Avenue in Albany and she’s going to research it and let me know tomorrow.  I’m hoping it’s just something that’s a silly operator technique.   Anyway, you’d think that would be enough and going to bed I’d go to sleep correct?  WRONG!  I went to bed but then I opened up my Nintendo DS and started playing my Math Personal Trainer game.  Can you say ADDICTING?  WOW!  For two nights in a row I’ve spent hours playing the game.  It’s not even really a game.  It’s more like filling in math problems really really fast.  I’m really good at it, but I’m trying to beat my 136 second record of filling in 100 math problems in a grid.  It’s not as easy as it sounds.  Part of the problem is getting the screen to recognize my figure for the number 4.  I’m getting better though.  So needless to say I wasn’t really shocked when I finally woke up and it was time for General Hospital.  I slept away a lot of my day, but had a good time during the night while you were all snoozing.  Ugh, I need to find a job.

What do you do when you stay up late at night?

I’ve never blogged seriously, but lately have some friends who seem to be doing it more and more often.

I figured I’d give it a whirl.  I’m not sure what I should blog about, so give me ideas of what you’d like to

read that you’d find entertaining.

In other news, I just got a new phone.  It’s an HTC Touch Pro 2.  I’m trying to figure out what apps to put on it.  I didn’t realize how much some apps cost!  For now I have Facebook.  I need to figure out which Twitter application to install and also something to view eBay auctions.  So if any of you have a Windows based phone let me know which apps you enjoy.

New Year Resolution
Continued from last year.  To try not to stress out about things that I cannot change.  Be optimistic.  There’s no sense in stressing out and being negative right?  I’m VERY optimistic that 2010 is going to be a great year for us 🙂

Did you make a New Years Resolution and if so what was it, and is it one you’ve made in the past?
