Ever feel like the rugs been pulled out from under you?

The Weekly BIG Thing on Facebook: Save John Boyd Thacher ParkMany state parks are being closed in New York state.  Governor Patterson has published a statement listing which parks and historic sites will be closed, etc.  Some will close, some will discontinue fireworks displays, some are closing pools and lakes, some will have reduced hours, there will be some shortened golf seasons and programs will be shut down.  It’s so sad to see them cut budgets like this while other useless programs continue.  I’m still mad about the gallons per mile bill that the senate wasted their time on a few weeks back….

The Weekly Schadenfreude: Tiger Woods’ Public Apology – He owes his wife Elin Nordengren an apology.  He does NOT owe the world an apology.

The Weekly Food: Mild Wally’s Chicken Parmigiana Pizza, Bruschetta Bread, Buffalo Chicken Salad, and an Italian Mix Sub.  Yummy yummy!  Big Thank You’s go out to Cute Ella Is Bold for dinner 🙂

When I’m extremely emotional I close my eyes and
I see blue stars on a black background.
I’ve been that way for as long as I can remember.
Even back to when I was a little girl.
All I see are blue stars lately.

It really is horrible to feel helpless.
Especially when you’ve given all the help that you could over time.
Apparently putting others first in your life and
doing your best to be a good person just isn’t good enough.

I gave tolerance and understanding.
I gave time and patience.
I gave trust and love.
I gave it my all.

What I thought was a rough patch was apparently enough for others to
give up.
I can’t dwell on the “what if’s” in life.
I need to focus on the “what was” and more importantly the “what is.”

I need to find that “whatever it takes” attitude again.
I’m just seeing blue stars….
